Botulinum Toxins

Anti-wrinkle injection is usually referred to Botulinum Neurotoxins Type A, such as Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport.  They are injectable solutions that temporarily block nerve receptors in muscles, preventing the formation of lines and wrinkles. They can be used to treat muscle stiffness, muscle spasms and excessive sweating.

Neurotoxins target the underlying causes of fine lines on the face, namely the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting. The muscles are injected with neurotoxins to essentially pause muscle activity.

The temporary absence of contracting facial muscles results in a reduction or removal of fine lines as the skin naturally renews itself.
